Education is, in addition to the protection and promotion of the values of the Protected landscape, one of the fundamental determinants of our institution.

Awareness of the importance of protecting the natural environment must be raised among the youngest of our visitors, as well, as it is they who are the best promoters of positive eco-conscious messages in their community. Educational programmes include lectures, workshops, field classes and sports activities, with content and methods that are adapted to children of all ages.

Topics relate to biological diversity, archaeological features, paleontological finds, geodiversity, speleology, bats and environmental protection. The educational programmes are implemented by the employees of the Public Institution and external associates of the institution, in agreement with preschool, primary and secondary school teachers. Programmes are held throughout the year, mostly outdoors. We recommend you to come to the regular workshops held as part of Bat Night, which are free of charge. Workshops that are by appointment last for one hour, and the recommended group size is 25 pupils. Groups exceeding this number will be divided into smaller groups.
